In a special to www.vancouverhoods.com, videographer Sergio Magro captured this joyous scene at the A-maze-ing Laughter art installation, which is part of the Vancouver Biennale public art program. The artist is Yue Minjun of China. The giant bronze sculptures are located at Morton Park, which is at English Bay where Davie, Denman and Beach intersect. Unfortunately, dealing with scammers is part of life in our city. Last night, Global TV (where I work) did a report on a homeless man who has been allegedly ripping people off who were parking at a lot at Georgia and Denman near Stanley Park. He was posing as a parking attendant and taking unsuspecting people’s money. The news story video includes the police take down and is pretty dramatic. |
